From House to House: BPS Conducts March Susenas-Seruti and February 2026 Sakernas

February 25, 2026 | BPS Activities

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) is once again conducting field data collection for the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas). These activities are carried out directly through house-to-house interviews to obtain accurate data regarding the socio-economic conditions and employment status of the Indonesian population.

The household sampling census is conducted from February 8–25, 2025 (for Sakernas) and March 1–20, 2026 (for Susenas-Seruti).

BPS officers, equipped with official identification and specialized training, have been deployed to the field to visit households selected as survey samples. They collect information related to education levels, occupation, income, as well as household access to health facilities, education, and social protection.

The data collected from Susenas will be used to formulate social welfare policies, while the results of Sakernas will serve as the foundation for labor planning and improving the quality of the workforce.

The Acting Head of BPS Pasangkayu, Alim Sudiasto, stated that this data collection aims to obtain precise data on the socio-economic and employment conditions of the community.

"The data gathered in Susenas and Sakernas form the basis for government policy formulation, such as poverty alleviation programs, welfare enhancement, and job creation," said Alim.

He also urged the public to welcome the officers and provide answers that accurately reflect their actual conditions.

BPS encourages the community to support these data collection activities by providing honest and accurate information, as the collected data will serve as the basis for formulating national development policies.
