BPS Pasangkayu Holds Sectoral Statistics Training for Regional Agencies to Enhance Data Governance

In an effort to improve the quality and governance of data within the local government, the Statistics Agency of Pasangkayu Regency (BPS Pasangkayu) held a Sectoral Statistics Coaching event on Thursday, September 18, 2025. The event, which took place at the BPS Pasangkayu office, was attended by representatives from Regional Government Organizations (OPD) in Pasangkayu Regency.

This activity aims to align perceptions and strengthen the understanding of OPDs, as data producers, regarding the standardized Statistical Business Process. With high-quality data, regional development planning is expected to become more accurate, well-targeted, and evidence-based.

In his opening remarks, the Acting Head of BPS Pasangkayu, Alim Sudiasto, emphasized the importance of synergy between BPS as the data custodian and OPDs as data producers and users.

"Accurate data is the foundation of effective policies. Through this coaching, we want to ensure that the data produced by every OPD in Pasangkayu meets quality standards, from the planning and collection stages to processing and dissemination," he stated.

The main material in this coaching focused on the nationally standardized Statistical Business Process workflow. The participants enthusiastically followed the discussion session, where many of them shared the challenges they face in the field regarding data collection and management.

With this coaching, BPS hopes that every OPD in Pasangkayu Regency can implement correct statistical principles so that the sectoral data produced can be well-integrated and support the realization of the One Data Indonesia initiative at the regional level.
