Pasangkayu, November 6, 2024 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Pasangkayu Regency held a training session on the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (SEKRT). The training aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of officers in collecting, processing, and analyzing economic data related to the conditions of households in the Pasangkayu region.
The event, which took place at the BPS Pasangkayu office, was attended by several field officers and data processing staff from BPS. During the training, participants were provided with insights into the implementation techniques of the economic survey, which includes data collection on household income, expenditure, and other economic conditions, conducted quarterly.
This training was designed to provide a thorough understanding of the procedures for conducting the Quarterly Household Economic Survey. The survey not only provides data on the overall economic condition of households but also serves as a foundation for in-depth microeconomic analysis to support local government policies.
In this session, participants were also briefed on effective interview methods and techniques for obtaining valid and accurate data. Since the survey directly targets households, the success of data collection depends largely on the officers’ ability to interact effectively with respondents and ensure honest responses.
At the conclusion of the training, BPS Pasangkayu's Subdivision Head, Kukuh Adhi Hatmanto, S.Tr.Stat., expressed his hope that all participants would apply the knowledge and skills they acquired during field activities. "Through this training, we hope BPS Pasangkayu can produce more accurate and timely data, which in turn will assist the local government in designing more effective and efficient development policies," said Kukuh Adhi Hatmanto, S.Tr.Stat.
This Quarterly Household Economic Survey training is part of BPS Pasangkayu's ongoing efforts to improve the quality and accuracy of the data it produces, which can be used as a reference in making policies that directly impact the welfare of the people in Pasangkayu Regency.
