The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is again carrying out field data collection for the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas). This activity was carried out directly using a house-to-house interview method, in order to obtain accurate data regarding the socio-economic conditions of society and employment in Indonesia.
Field updating activities were carried out on 24 January-7 February 2025 (Sakernas) and 1-6 February 2025 (Susenas-Seuti). Then, sample household enumeration activities were carried out on 8-28 February 2025 (Sakernas) and 8-27 February 2025 (Susenas-Seruti).
BPS officers who have been equipped with official identification and special training go to the field to visit households selected as survey samples. They collect information regarding education level, employment, income, and household access to health, education and social protection facilities.
Data collected from Susenas will be used to develop social welfare policies, while the results of Sakernas will be the basis for employment planning and improving the quality of the workforce.
Head of BPS Pasangkayu Chitra Dewi Said said that this data collection aims to obtain accurate data regarding the socio-economic and employment conditions of the community.
"The data collected in Susenas and Sakernas is the basis for formulating government policies, such as poverty alleviation programs, increasing welfare and creating jobs," said Chitra.
BPS urges the public to support this data collection activity by providing honest and accurate information, because the data collected will be the basis for formulating national development policies
