Poverty Profile March 2018 in Sulawesi Barat Province

Abstract

At March 2018, percentage of poor people (people with per capital per month expenditure under poverty line) in Sulawesi Barat was 11,25 percent (151,78 thousand people), decrease 0,05 point (absolutely increase 2,02 thousand people) if compared to March 2017 that was 11,30 percent (149,76 thousand people).

At March 2018, number of poor people (people with per capital per month expenditure under poverty line) in Sulawesi Barat was 151,78 thousand people (11,25 percent), increase 2,3 thousand people if compared with September 2017 condition was 149,47 thousand people (11,18 percent).

Percentage of poor people in urban area at September 2017 was 9,50 percent increase to 9,64 percent at March 2018. While percentage of poor people in rural area at September 2017 was 11,70 percentage increase to 11,75 percent at March 2018.

Contribution of food commodity to poverty line greater than contribution of non food (housing, clothing, education, and healthy). Poverty line contribution at March 2018 recorded to 78,27 percent.
