The Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Pasangkayu District held an evaluation meeting for the Village Potential Data Collection (PODES) on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the BPS Pasangkayu office hall. The meeting was attended by Field Officers (PML) and Field Enumerators (PPL) involved in the PODES activity across Pasangkayu District.
The event was opened with a speech by the Head of BPS Pasangkayu, Chitra Dewi Said, who expressed appreciation to all parties involved in the PODES data collection process. In her remarks, Chitra Dewi emphasized the importance of this evaluation to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data collected during PODES, which plays a crucial role in the development planning at the village level.
"Through this evaluation, we can assess the data collection results, identify challenges faced in the field, and ensure that each data collection process runs smoothly in accordance with established procedures. Accurate data will significantly impact policies that are targeted and beneficial for development," said Chitra Dewi.
The evaluation meeting also included a presentation from BPS regarding the preliminary results of the PODES data collection, as well as discussions on various challenges faced by PML and PPL in the field. The officers were given the opportunity to share any issues encountered during the data collection process, both technical and non-technical.
During this session, steps for improvement and measures to optimize the ongoing data collection process were also discussed. PML and PPL were reminded once again of the importance of accuracy and consistency in data collection so that the collected data can be used effectively for better development planning.
The meeting is expected to serve as a momentum to strengthen coordination between BPS and all field officers, as well as to provide a clearer picture of the progress of PODES data collection in Pasangkayu.
