National Statistics Day is an important moment to increase awareness of the importance of data and statistics in decision making. One of them is through strengthening statistical collaboration with OPD.
On Thursday (19/9) BPS Pasangkayu held a meeting to evaluate statistical data on horticulture and food crops with the Pasangkayu Agriculture Service. This activity was attended by the Head of BPS Pasangkayu and his team, the Head of the Agriculture Service with his staff, and the Tani Mantri for each sub-district. This activity was carried out in the BPS Pasangkayu Hall and was the opening of the entire series of activities for the 2024 BPS Pasangkayu National Statistics Day (HSN).
Head of BPS Pasangkayu Chitra Dewi Said delivered a speech and opened the day's activities.
"The results of this evaluation will be the basis for understanding developments and phenomena in the food crop and horticulture sector in our district. "Apart from that, today is also an important momentum to discuss the results of the second phase of the 2023 Agricultural Census dissemination," said Chitra.
The activity continued with the delivery of material by the first resource person, namely the Head of the Pasangkayu Service, Mr Nurdin.
"The benefit of this activity is evaluating horticultural and food crop data collected over the past year to describe the phenomena that occurred and as a basis for future improvements. "In order to provide quality Horticulture and Food Crop data on a regular basis," explained Nurdin.
After that, PJK Production Statistics BPS Pasangkayu Ahmad Pauji continued his activities as the second resource person to discuss statistical data on horticulture and food crops. During the activity, discussions between participants were quite intense.
