Development of the Village of Love Statistics: Increasing Data Literacy in Malei Village

On Thursday (22/8) BPS Pasangkayu carried out development of the Love Statistics (Cantik) Village in Malei Village, Pedongga District, Pasangkayu Regency. This activity was attended by the Head of BPS Pasangkayu and his team, the Head of Malei Village, the Head of Hamlet in the Malei Village Area, as well as Village Officials and Community Leaders in Malei Village.

Head of BPS Pasangkayu Chitra Dewi Said delivered a speech and opened the activity. In her speech, Chitra said that villages/sub-districts are the spearhead of village development as well as the spearhead of sectoral data collection. Therefore, it is necessary to develop village/sub-district level statistics to produce quality data directly from the source.

The supervisor of the BPS Pasangkayu Beautiful Village, Faizul Satrio Utomo, delivered material related to an overview of the implementation of statistical activities. "The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) as the leading sector in statistical development has an important role in coaching to increase data literacy at the village level so that data management and utilization for village development can be strengthened," said Faizul.

The next Beautiful Village development is planned to be held in August to October 2024 in stages and systematically.
