Monitoring the Quality of SEP 2024 Data, BPS Pasangkayu Resolves Data Anomalies

Field data collection for the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) was completed last June. Currently, SEP activities have entered the data processing stage. One of the stages in data processing is checking data anomalies. At this stage, inconsistencies are checked and corrected for unusual/normal data resulting from SEP field data collection.

On Tuesday (23/7) the BPS Pasangkayu processing team together with Subject Matter checked and corrected SEP data anomalies. The results of the anomaly checking findings are followed up by correcting the data through checking documents, and confirming it with officers. Follow-up data corrections are assisted by processing partners as entry operators and have previously been given direction by Subject Matter. This activity will continue until next August, until the processed data is completely ready to be disseminated.

This activity of checking and correcting data anomalies is a form of monitoring the quality of data from the Agricultural Economic Survey data collection. Quality data is very important as material for government policy making, especially in the agricultural sector
