Abstract

  • Inflation in the city of Mamuju occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in several expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.30 percent; clothing and footwear group 0.72 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups 0.08 percent; health group 0.02 percent; transportation group 0.71 percent; information, communication, and financial services group 0.21 percent; recreation, sports, and culture 0.12 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group 0.04 percent; and the personal care and other services group 0.64 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced deflation was the equipment, equipment, and household routine maintenance group of 0.06 percent.
  • The rate of change in the index for the calendar year in May 2022 in Mamuju recorded an inflation of 3.21 percent and the rate of change in the index from year to year (May 2022 to May 2021) showed an inflation of 3.49 percent.
  • Based on the Consumer Price Survey of 90 cities in Indonesia in May 2022, it shows that 87 cities experienced inflation and 3 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 2.24 percent and the lowest occurred in Gunungsitoli at 0.05 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Kotamobagu at 0.21 percent and the lowest was in Merauke at 0.02 percent.
