Abstract

  • Deflation in the city of Mamuju occurred because of the decline in prices shown by the decline in several expenditure group indices namely food, beverage and tobacco groups of 0.89 percent; Clothing group and 0.01 percent footwear; health group 0.20 percent; Information group, communication and financial services 1.15 percent; and a group of recreation, sports, and culture of 0.11 percent. While the expenditure group experiencing inflation is a group of housing, water, electricity, and household fuel 0.15 percent; Group equipment, equipment, and household routine maintenance of 0.91 percent; Transportation group is 0.61 percent; The food and beverage / restaurant provision group is 0.81 percent; and personal care groups and other services 2.56 percent.

  • The level of changes in the calendar year in February 2022 in Mamuju recorded an inflation of 1.09 percent and the level of change in the year of the year (February 2022 against February 2021) showed an inflation of 2.89 percent.

  • Based on the results of the consumer price survey of 90 cities in Indonesia in February 2022, showing that 37 cities experienced inflation and 53 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kupang by 0.65 percent and the lowest in Tanjung Selor was 0.01 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan by 2.08 percent and the lowest in Palembang, Palangkaraya, and Tarakan with deflation of 0.01 percent respectively.
