Abstract

• The labor force in February 2021 as much as 717.33 thousand, up 21.21 thousand compared to August 2020. In line with the increase in the number of labor force, Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) also rose by 1.34 percentage points.

• The open unemployment rate (TPT) in February 2021 amounted to 3.28 percent, down 0.05 percentage points compared to August 2020.

• People who work as much as 693.83 thousand, an increase of 20.85 thousand from August 2020. Employment is experiencing the greatest percentage increase is Sector and Retail Trade, Repair and Maintenance Cars and Motorcycles (2.71 percentage points) , While the sector that experienced the largest decline, namely the Agricultural Sector (2.14 percentage points).

• A total of 532.30 votes (76.72 percent) worked in the informal sector, up 4.09 percentage points compared to August 2020.

• The percentage of underemployed workers fell by 4.22 percentage points, while the percentage of part-time workers rose by 2.59 percentage points compared to August 2020.

• There were 58.82 thousand people (5.68 per cent of the working age population) are affected Covid-19. Consisting of unemployment because Covid-19 (0.76 thousand), not Labor Force (BAK) for Covid-19 (0.83 thousand), while it does not work because Covid-19 (6.81 thousand), and residents work which experienced a reduction in working hours for Covid-19 48.42 thousand people.
