Abstract

• In February 2021, Mamuju experienced inflation of 1.12 percent. Inflation is due to the increase in the price indicated by the increase in some types of expenses, the group index of food, beverages and tobacco 2.32 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.06 percent; housing, water, electricity, and fuel 0.03 percent of households; group fixtures, equipment and routine household maintenance 0.05 percent; health group 0.23 percent; 2.15 transport groups
percent; group information, communication and financial services 0.01 percent; and group recreation, sports, and culture 0.03 per cent. Meanwhile, expenditure group experienced deflation namely the personal care and other services 0.70 percent.
• The degree of change in the index in February 2021 calendar year in Mamuju recorded 2.57 percent inflation and the rate of change in the index year-on-year (February 2021 to February 2020) showed a 3.58 percent inflation.
• Based on the Consumer Price Survey of 90 cities in Indonesia in February 2021, showed that 56 cities experienced inflation and 34 cities experienced deflation. Mamuju inflation was at 1.12 percent and the lowest in Tasikmalaya and Sumenep respectively by 0.02 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Gunungsitoli by 1.55 percent and the lowest in Malang and Tarakan respectively by 0.01 percent.
