Abstract

Human development in Sulawesi Barat continued to progress marked by the continued increase in the Human Development Index (HDI) of Sulawesi Barat. In 2020, IPM Sulawesi Barat recorded 66.11. This figure increased by 0.38 points, or grew by 0.58 percent compared to the situation in 2019.
• All of the components forming HDI 2020 Sulawesi Barat recorded increases, except for per capita expenditure component adjusted.
• life expectancy (UHH), namely a newborn in 2020 was recorded has a chance to live up to 65.06 years, 0.24 years longer than the previous year.
• Hope Old School (HLS), namely children in 2020 was 7 years old have the opportunity to go to school for 12.77 years, 0.15 years longer than the condition in 2019.
• Similarly, the average Old School (RLS), ie the population aged 25 years and over in 2020 on average had been studying for 7.89 years, 0.16 years longer than the previous year.
• In 2020, the people of Sulawesi Barat recorded ends meet with an average expenditure per capita adjusted (constant 2012 prices) amounted to 9.17 million per year, down 67 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year.
