The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) has resumed field data collection for the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas). The survey is conducted through face-to-face interviews by visiting households directly to obtain accurate data regarding the socio-economic conditions of Indonesian society.
The enumeration process for the sampled households took place from September 7 to 16.
Equipped with official identity cards and training, BPS officers visited the sample households to collect essential information, including education levels, employment, income, and public access to healthcare, education, and social protection programs.
The collected Susenas data will serve as a primary reference for formulating social welfare policies. Head of BPS Pasangkayu, Hirlan Khaeri, explained that the survey aims to present a realistic picture of the public's current socio-economic conditions.
"The data gathered from Susenas serves as a baseline for the government in designing strategic programs, ranging from poverty alleviation efforts to improving public welfare," stated Hirlan.
He also urged residents to welcome the BPS officers openly and provide truthful information.
BPS hopes that the public will actively support the activity by providing honest and precise answers, as the data will determine the future direction of national development policies.
