Head of BPS West Sulawesi Oversees SKGB and SE2026 Data Collection in Pasangkayu Regency

July 10, 2026 | Other Activities

The Head of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) for West Sulawesi Province, Suri Handayani, conducted a field visit to Pasangkayu Regency to supervise two important national data collection initiatives. Accompanied by the Head of BPS Pasangkayu, Hirlan Khaeri, the visit focused on the implementation of the Unmilled Rice to Milled Rice Conversion Survey (SKGB) in Bambaira District and the data collection of Large-Scale Enterprises for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026).

A key focus of this supervisory visit was an inspection of PT Bintang 88, located in Randomayang Village, Bambalamotu District. At the site, the BPS team coordinated with and provided guidance to the Director of PT Bintang 88, Herman Wijaya, regarding the SE2026 data collection process for large-scale enterprises. Additionally, to strengthen field readiness and coordination, the Head of BPS West Sulawesi provided direct briefings to SE2026 field officers at the Bambalamotu District command post.

This intensive supervision was conducted to ensure that all stages of field data collection strictly adhered to established standard operating procedures (SOPs), concepts, and definitions. Maintaining strict adherence is crucial for ensuring the optimal quality, validity, and accuracy of the resulting data. The activity also underscores BPS's strong commitment to providing credible statistical data, which will serve as a primary foundation for the government in formulating policies, planning, and evaluating development within the economic and agricultural sectors.
