BPS Pasangkayu Briefs DPRD Vice Chair on 2026 Economic Census

BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Pasangkayu Regency conducted a working visit for an audience and socialization regarding the preparation for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) with the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Pasangkayu Regency. This strategic meeting was held on Monday (21/4) directly in the Office of the Vice Chairman of the Pasangkayu DPRD.

The visit by the BPS Pasangkayu team aimed to strengthen inter-agency synergy and coordination ahead of the major national economic data collection event. During the meeting, the Head of BPS Pasangkayu, Hirlan Khaeri, presented the urgency and the preparation stages of SE2026. This census plays a crucial role in capturing the latest economic structure, mapping business competitiveness, and understanding business characteristics in Pasangkayu Regency, which will later serve as the main foundation for formulating regional development policies.

The Vice Chairman of the Pasangkayu DPRD, Muh. Dasri, welcomed and highly appreciated the proactive steps taken by BPS. The legislative body affirmed its commitment to providing full support for the smooth implementation of the 2026 Economic Census. According to him, this synergy is essential to ensure that policies formulated by the regional government and the council are genuinely based on actual field data.

Through this audience, it is hoped that a solid collaboration will be established between the statistics provider and regional stakeholders. The success of the 2026 Economic Census is believed to generate objective macroeconomic and microeconomic data to design a more inclusive, measurable, and sustainable direction for Pasangkayu Regency's economic development in the future.
