The activity was officially opened by the Head of General Affairs Subdivision of BPS Pasangkayu, Kukuh Adhi Hatmanto. In his speech, he motivated the field officers and emphasized the importance of their role in collecting accurate and reliable data.
"You are at the forefront of ensuring the quality of data that will be used to design national policies. With enthusiasm, dedication, and integrity, I am confident we can achieve the best results," he said.
In addition to providing motivation, the Head of General Affairs also shared strategies and tips to help field officers work effectively in the field. He also reminded them of the importance of good communication with the community to build trust and obtain valid data.
With a spirit of togetherness, he concluded his remarks with the message, "Let us prove that Indonesia's data can improve because of our hard work. Together, we will achieve quality statistics for an advanced Indonesia!"
One of the key moments in the activity was the presentation of materials by BPS Pasangkayu Young Expert Statistician Ahmad Pauji and First Expert Statistician Ahmad Satria Irmanto. The materials covered various aspects, including questionnaire completion procedures, the use of technological tools, and handling challenges in the field. The speakers also emphasized the importance of polite and persuasive communication with the community to build trust and gather accurate data.
The KSA Survey and Yield Measurement briefing aimed to enhance the understanding and skills of officers in accurately measuring planted area, harvested area, and productivity of food crops. The event included field simulations designed to test participants' comprehension of the materials presented. These simulations provided a realistic depiction of field conditions and served as an initial evaluation of the officers' readiness.
Overall, the KSA Survey and Yield Measurement briefing aimed to support the availability of high-quality agricultural statistical data. This data serves as an essential foundation for planning, evaluation, and policy decision-making at both regional and national levels, particularly in achieving food security.
